Campaign Setting: Realms of Cthulhu

It is the nature of man to strive for control. We see patterns in chaos, carving order into battlements to keep out encroaching night. We declare that in all of reality there is nothing outside our understanding and nothing beyond the reach of the discipline we call science.

We are fools. We burn the world around us, a herd of blind sheep wandering in the wilds, and we imagine that we are powerful.

Old Night still whispers to us, the worm which gnaws at us in the dark. It is the primal fear that shudders and groans when men speak of an empirical universe…a dead universe. It is locked in our very genes, a Jungian warning of the things which our race forgot…forgot because to remember was unthinkable.

And yet there are some who wish to remember.

In a maze of deceit, terror, and madness can the clues to an ancient mystery be uncovered before it is too late?

Campaign Name: Eye of Madness

Introduction: It is the morning of Friday, September 4, 1925, and each of the investigators has received a message requesting their presence at the mansion of State Senator Michael Danvers. This impressive estate is located in the wealthy suburbs of Richmond, Virgina, and it is the seat of the Danvers family power.

The senator’s motives are a mystery, but each of the investigators has a reason for attending. The adventure will begin here…
